Total time: 45 minutes
4 Crown Jewels Pears (halved & cored)
4 Tablespoons of Butter
1 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Sour Cream
1/4 Cup of Your Favorite Nuts (coarsely chopped)
Jar/Bottle of Your Favorite Caramel Sauce (optional)
Jar/Bottle of Your Favorite Honey (optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Place butter in a baking pan that's able to hold the pears in a single layer and place in the oven while it preheats until the butter melts.
Sprinkle the brown sugar over the melted butter in the pan
Then place the pears, cut side down, right on top. Bake the pears until tender, usually about 30 minutes. *baking time may vary depending on ripeness of the pears.
Remove pan from oven, turn the pears over and now baste them with the pan sauce.
Return to oven, bake until golden (about 8-10 minutes).
Remove from oven and let cool but only slightly. Then transfer the pears to dessert plates and top each with a dollop of sour cream, drizzle with caramel & honey, and sprinkle with your favorite nuts.
Serve and enjoy!
