Ingredients:
2 Crown Jewels Yellow Onions
Buttermilk
All Purpose Flour
Beer
Parsley
Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper
Olive Oil
Directions:
Peel 2 Crown Jewels Yellow Onions, cut the ends and cut 1/2 inch thick slices. Separating them and creating rings.
Place the Onion Rings in a bowl with 1 1/2 cup of Buttermilk and let it soak for as long as you can. 30-45 min is recommended.
In a deep pot, heat 3 inch of Olive Oil to 375 degrees F.
In a bowl, place 3/4 cup of All Purpose Flour. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, mix 1 cup of all Purpose Flour, Beer, Garlic Powder, Salt and Pepper.
Remove the soaked Onions and drip off the excess milk.
Coat each ring in Flour and then dip in the batter mixture.
Fry 6 rings at a time until golden brown for about 3-4 min. Drain in paper towel after.
Repeat the process with the remaining rings.
Sprinkle with chopped Parsley and Salt.
